The Indigenous Peoples’ Cultural Celebration and the Four Directions Variety show is a four hour program curated by Indigenous artists. Providing a platform where traditional and contemporary views and traditions work together. This weekend’s celebration offers a place for discussion, demonstrations, storytelling, and performance.
Three days of shows along the Wickquasgeck Trail (Broadway).
Hosted by Sam Malcolm (juggler and comedian) the program features discussions on food and land with Amyrose Foll and storytelling by Christinia Eala, Lakota. The stage will present traditional dance and variety acts including ShanDien Sonwai LaRance, Hopi, Tewa, Navajo, Assiniboine (hoop dance), Royce Jarvey (dance), Rebecca Jarvey, Chippewa, Cree, Blackfeet (dance and fashion design), Stephanie Morphet-Tepp, Shawnee (hair hanging), Marisa Diamond, Maya Q’eqchi (acrobatics).
And every day, we will end the festivities with a dance party with Nataanii Means, Oglala Lakota/UmoNhoN, Dine, and DJ Matthew ManyMules.
